Another Challenge!

Here we go again with another challenge!  Sharing this fitness journey really helps keep me motivated and holds me accountable. A 30 day fitness challenge offers consistency and requires commitment to make a positive change in your life! Moreover, a 30-day fitness challenge offers an opportunity for individuals to set and achieve specific goals, whether it’s weight loss, muscle gain, or increased flexibility. Working towards these goals within a defined time frame helps boost motivation and provides a sense of accomplishment as progress is made.

Getting Started

For me, just getting started can be the hardest part. So I decided to start on day zero! I knew I wasn’t fully ready, so starting on day zero, instead of day 1, gave me a day to prepare myself for the challenge ahead. For weeks and months I had been saying to myself, “I’ll start tomorrow”, and tomorrow would come and I wouldn’t get started. I needed a consistent schedule, so a fitness workout calendar was perfect for me so I could keep track of where I was in the challenge.

Trusting the Process

The beginning of this challenge started off really slow. Which was good, because I literally was starting from zero. The first week I was not getting my workout in first thing, so I would have to come home and get it done after work. I started a new job at the same time as starting this challenge. A physically demanding job that leaves me exhausted, so I knew I would have to start getting my workouts done in the morning so I wouldn’t have to worry about it when I got home.

When I started off this challenge, I really didn’t have a goal in mind. All I knew was that I was becoming more and more unhappy with how I looked and felt about my body. I didn’t have a special diet in mind and I also didn’t always say no to things that maybe I should have. Getting started was the hardest part for me, but once I started I found it easier and easier to get into the habit of starting each day with a workout. Sharing these workouts daily on my YouTube shorts feed helped keep me honest and held me accountable.

Making Modifications

I was using a printable I found online to follow and I quickly found that I didn’t even know what half of the exercises were! And once I learned what they were, I was unable to do a lot of them due to my lack of core strength. So I decided to modify and make changes according to my own capabilities. I didn’t let the fact that I couldn’t do some of the exercises get in the way of my being successful.

I had a lot of people along the way ask me where I got the workout plan I was following. So I decided to create my own based on the changes that I had made. Please feel free to use this workout calender and make the changes you may need to better fit your needs!

Results! Results! Results!

I was so happy (and surprised!) with the results I got from this challenge. Throughout the 30 days, I was able to shed 6 pounds! That is huge for me! Seeing consistent results really helped keep me motivated. Don’t lose hope if you try this for yourself and don’t see results right away! We all have different body chemistry and sometimes results won’t show right away! Just keep going!

Have a great workout!
