Do Yourself a Favor
A friend of mine taught me to do something for yourself today that “tomorrow” you will be thankful for. Think of it as paying it forward, but to yourself! On Thanksgiving, I put together a casserole of leftovers and threw it in the freezer. I knew this would be perfect for a quick meal during the busy holiday season. Any time of year can get hectic, but a lot of people find themselves especially short on time during the holidays. Check out my video here on doing yourself a favor.
Plan Ahead
Do yourself a favor and take care of a few things ahead of time so you aren’t rushing or struggling to complete a task. Planning ahead for meals is a big one for me. When I know the only thing I have to do is come home from work and throw an already prepared dish in the oven, it takes the pressure off of me to get dinner on the table at a reasonable time. Especially when there are winter concert, sports practice, appointments and countless other tasks to be done.
Small Tasks
If you’re anything like me, it’s some of the smallest tasks can be the easiest to put off. Calling to schedule that oil change, emptying the dishwasher, finally sorting through that pile of mail… The list goes on! For the most part, these small responsibilities take less than 5 minutes to complete. Once the task is complete, you may find yourself wondering why you put it off for so long!
Don’t Delay the Inevitable
Regardless if the task is big or small, it still has to be accomplished. Whether it be waking up 10 minutes early to prepare something for dinner, or taking 5 minutes out of your lunch break to make that phone call. Do yourself a favor and don’t delay. Your future self will thank you!
