This lavender sugar scrub uses a lavender infused olive oil which intensifies the scent and calming nature of it.
There is no shortage to the benefits you can get from lavender. Aside from the fact that it smells amazing, it also has a calming and soothing effect and may help improve your sleep. Additionally, it is believed that lavender oil has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.
Making a sugar scrub is an easy way to keep up the practice of self-care. In recent times, self-care has become an important part of our daily lives. It is a practice that promotes physical, emotional and mental well-being.
I know not everyone is going to take the time to make a lavender infused olive oil, and that is OK! (watch the video here to find out how). I made a lavender salve and had some of the oil left over. I didn’t want it to go to waste, so I decided to use it in a sugar scrub. It is perfectly fine if you want to substitute the infused oil for an organic coconut oil. You also don’t have to add the dried lavender to the scrub if you don’t have any or just prefer not to.Â
