Thanksgiving Casserole

Save For Later!

Right after Thanksgiving dinner this year I put a bunch of leftovers into a 9×13 dish to make a casserole.

I did not want any of the food from dinner to go to waste, so I figured putting a bunch of it into a casserole was a good way to make sure it was all used up.

Easy Freezer Meal

My plan for this casserole was to save it for an easy freezer meal. Thanksgiving leftovers should be eaten within a few days. How many times have you opened up an old Cool Whip container that got pushed to the back of the fridge only to find a mold covered Thanksgiving side dish?! I know it has happened several times in my house! By freezing the casserole, I was able to extend how long it would be good for.

Do Yourself A Favor

During my 25 Days of Christmas series on my YouTube channel, I posted a video about doing a favor for yourself. I did my future self a favor by putting together this casserole. The holiday season can get vey busy, so it was nice to know I had a quick dinner to fall back on when I was just too busy to prepare a whole meal.

Casserole Ingredients

  • Turkey
  • Mashed Potatoes
  • Carrots
  • Stuffing
  • Gravy (optional)

A new Family Favorite

I cannot believe how delicious this casserole was! My kids absolutely loved it, and my son keeps asking if I can make it again. Luckily, I have 2 turkeys in my freezer, so I can make it again soon! You can swap out the ingredients with whatever you happen to have leftover from your Thanksgiving dinner!
